Photography competition announced
We're looking to capture the charm and character of the Akaroa wharf before work on the new wharf begins in 2026.
The Akaroa wharf competition runs from 31 October 2025 until 31 January 2026. The competition is sponsored by HEB Construction, and run by Akaroa District Promotions and Akaroa Museum. Entry is free! There are cash prizes to the value of NZ$2500 across three categories: Junior, Amateur and Professional.
Twenty top entries will be displayed at Akaroa Museum from 20th February 2026 and visitors to the Museum will be able to vote for a Peoples' Choice prize winner.
